HIGH SCHOOL

At the high school level, the focus is on student growth. Student learning is facilitated by setting high expectations, providing support and feedback, and maintaining classroom environments that allow diverse types of learners to strive.

During secondary education at Union School, there is an emphasis on core content knowledge and the sharpening of critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Our high schoolers have the opportunity to enroll in a variety of elective and advanced placement courses to ensure college and career readiness. We also encourage our students to participate in enrichment, extracurricular, and cultural activities.

Students collaborate in a variety of project-based learning activities and are given opportunities to showcase their work to the student body. By the end of high school, Union School students take responsibility for and are self-directed in their learning.
