Child Safety and Safeguarding

Child Safety and Safeguarding

Union School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all its students. The Board of Trustees expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment by demonstrating their understanding of how each adult working on behalf of the school has an active part to play in protecting children from harm and promoting their welfare. All Union School staff are advised to maintain an attitude of “it could happen here” in relation to safeguarding. Union School cultivates a climate where everyone should feel comfortable to speak about these matters openly. When concerned about the welfare of a child, staff members should always act in the interests of the child.
