Welcome to the After School Program at Union School! Our program is designed to ease the transition between school and home. We strive to meet our students’ academic needs through tutoring and also provide quality recreational activities in a safe and friendly environment.
Our Afterschool Program focuses on activities that allow students to be physically active and stimulate their innate curiosity. Our hands-on learning approach involves the child in a total learning experience, which enhances the child’s ability to think critically.
We have an array of activities for all ages.

Interscholastic Activities
Union School takes a leadership role in organizing non-athletic interscholastic activities. These activities are designed to be friendly competitions between English and French schools in the Port-au-Prince area. The goal is to provide opportunities for students to compete and socialize while positively influencing the quality of life and enhancing intellectual capacity for the students. Students learn to compete in front of hundreds of people at a national level, build camaraderie between other schools, and learn the key lessons of winning and losing.
We currently organize three annual interscholastic activities:
- Interscholastic Spelling Bee
- Interscholastic Live Art Competition
- Interscholastic Math Competition
